Registration: Guidelines
Experience
If your group is new to the HWB Build experience or your group is considering returning but will not have experienced leadership returning with it (i.e. the person who interfaced most with the orphanage staff and oversaw logistics last year) you need to arrange for at least one leader to participate on a project before your group's trip. The transfer of basic information regarding use of the Annex, the relationship with the orphanage, and knowlege of the community is insufficient without this prerequisite.
Group Size
Groups using the Annex facilities are limited to 100 people, so as to contain our impact on Hogar de los Ninos. On occasion, a smaller group may be asked to share the annex facilities with another small group. Both groups will have space for sleeping and meeting, while sharing toilets, space for parking, and use of the kitchen. HWB will work with both groups to insure the best use of space for everyone involved. We would ask for your special cooperation in making these weeks work; they are so often an unexpected blessing!
Picking a date
Groups who built during the 2005 season have priority for the same week in 2006. Please confirm your dates as listed below and request a rough number of houses via email by October 1, 2005, as weeks that have not been confirmed will be opened up to inquiring groups at that time.
If you do not intend to take a group during 2006, if your group has grown in size significantly, or wish to change weeks, please let us know of your preferred dates as soon as possible. We will work to have everyone scheduled promptly thereafter. HWB will do it’s best to accommodate all groups, but cannot guarantee your preferred dates if they are different from your 2005 project week.
Groups that did not build in 2005 will be scheduled after all groups who did build in 2005 are scheduled and confirmed.
